The beautiful Emerald Dove can sometimes be found on Krakatoa but the 40 resident species of bird come and go on this ever changing island. They bring a reminder of the Mourning Doves that come to my window at home on a daily occurrence and also remind me that the end of this expedition is rapidly approaching.
