Salamina wears her beaded collar, cotton anorak, avitatt embroidered trousers made of the skin of the Common Seal, and kamiks. Traditionally clothing in Greenland consisted purely of animal skins but with the Danish colonial rule came trade of cotton fabrics, beads and ribbons and Christianity which created a need for festive garments.
