Tati comes to meet me at the harbour carrying a Coconut crab for me to marvel at. The Coconut crab - so called because of its use of its large pincers to crack open coconuts for food, are the largest land living arthropods in the world. The species inhabits coastal forest regions of the Indo-Pacific islands. Localised extinction has occurred when these creatures live close to humans, therefore Tati, an oceanographer, will release this chap back into the wild.
